Of course you remember Christian Siriano--he's that super-awesome, flamboyant designer who won Project Runway's fifth season. We consider him to be the most successful Project Runway winner to date--his runway shows have been highly successful, not to mention major celebs have been spotted wearing his fashion-forward creations on red carpets and at high-profile events, including models Heidi Klum and Caridee English.

With such a great vision for style and a keen eye for all things fabulous, we can breathe a sigh of relief because his book is on the way. FIERCE STYLE: How to Be Your Most Fabulous Self will be in stores in three days. Let the countdown begin!

In the meantime, here's a little tease (in the form of Siriano's quick tips on how to shop sales)...

  • Go in January. Boutique and department-store employees always need a sale after Christmas, so they'll treat you like royalty--on top of selling you something fabulous at a discount!

  • Get on mailing lists. Whenever you find a store that you like, ask to be added to their mailing list. You'll be the first to know when they're having a sale and be one step ahead of other shoppers. (Shopping as a competitive sport--I love it!)

  • Don't obsess over sales. If you do, you'll miss out on things. Lots of pieces don't ever get marked down and things sell out, so enjoy your sale shopping, but don't go crazy.

ysolt-jenn-blazers.jpgNo, we didn't plan it--we swear! Jennifer Merritt, another iVillage editor, and I both came into work today rockin' our trendy boyfriend blazers. After all, it is meeting Thursday. Great minds think alike.

While I sported my boyfriend blazer with black leggings, an edgy tunic-tank and black suede booties, Jennifer rocked hers with black leggings, a striped sweater-dress and flats. Both work in very different ways!

Interested in rockin' the boyfriend blazer this fall, too? Here are some do's and don'ts to keep in mind:

Do wear them with leggings.

Don't actually wear your boyfriend's (or husband's) blazers--they'll look too boxy!

Do wear them with skinny jeans.

Don't wear them with wide-legs or flares.

Do wear them with boyfriend jeans (if you're going to be pairing them with feminine heels, that is).

Do wear them with tunics.

Do wear them with dress shirts.

Don't wear them with tight and fitted tanks and tees.

Do wear them with frilly and flowy tops.

Do wear them with booties and platform heels.

Do wear them with flats.

Don't wear them with high boots. Doing so will break up your proportions the wrong way and shorten your legs.

Do roll up the sleeves if it has a white lining.

Don't roll up the sleeves if it doesn't have a nice lining with a contrast in color.

Don't wear the ones with shoulder pads. That's so 15 years ago!

Do accessorize with lots of jewelry to femme up the ensemble.
