Revealed: America's Underwear Secrets

undies.jpg

The results for America's favorite underwear are in! The first annual Undie Awards -- yes, you read that correctly, an underwear award-- polled over 12,000 votes from women across America. And this prestigious award had a serious mission -- the quest for the top designs and most comfortable lingerie to keep women like us looking and feeling fabulous!

Being rather boob-challenged myself, I strongly support the bust-boosting Wonderbra. Quite rightfully, The Wonderbra 7234 Gel Satin Push-Up Bra was awarded best overall bra for average-sized women. As for those who find themselves a little more ahem.. boobylicious, check out Le Mystere 9955 Renaissance Tisha Bra that took home the title for fuller women. And if you need further convincing, it’s Oprah’s favorite too!
Come summer, we all need a great t-shirt bra to smooth out lumps and bumps. Calvin Klein's Perfectly Fit-t-shirt bra, Le Mystere Renaissance Tisha bra and Chantelle Body Sculpt T-shirt underwire bra were all winners in this category.

Looking for some hanky panky? Then you'll love winner of the best overall panty award. These super comfy thongs are sexy and offer great coverage. It’s official: time to retire your old-fashioned granny panties, and revive your lingerie drawer!

Have you ever tried the eyeshadow underwear line at Dillards? They are so sexy yet confortable and they look the same as the hanky panky line but they will never cost more than $10.

Thanks for all the great suggestions, I do need advice from now and then because I don't always know what's new or what's improved on lingerie market. I want to enjoy the best but for that I need some reliable advises. Great post! No doubt all the women loved it.

America's leading lingerie company Victoria's Secret have just previewed their latest ranges in New York.

Sexiness isn't just about being trussed up like a chicken, it's about being yourself. And we prefer pretty but practical undies, simple styles which make a girl feel good.

So lads, next time you decide to buy your beloved some underwear, go for what she'd prefer, not what will turn you on.

Is Victoria's Secret one that we'd like to share? Here's our verdict on some of their creations.

TRAWLERS' VERDICT: Whoever designed this leather corset and appropriately named "second skin" satin thong obviously hangs out at some questionable parties. Unless you frequent them, too, give this one a miss. Even our male colleagues in the office didn't think much of this one.

TRAWLERS' VERDICT: Strapless bras are difficult to wear - but Karen Mulder doesn't have to concern herself with gravity like the rest of us. This white lace balconette bra is pretty while still looking as if it could support an ample cupful.

TRAWLERS' VERDICT: Carmen's fantastic in her angelic get-up. The sheer lace bustier and suspenders with lace-top "panty hose" are a blushing bride's dream, virginal or not. A fairy-tale wedding if you've got the nerve.

TRAWLERS' VERDICT: The vision of Tyra Banks in her silver Barbarella sci-fi outfit was enough to make grown men weep. But can we applaud the woman who would attempt to pull this off?

It's not that we are bitter because we don't have the bodies to wear this sort of thing. It's just that all that marvellous silver looks incredibly sweaty - and it will be wrecked once it has gone through the washing machine.

TRAWLERS' VERDICT: What about the ridiculous red cut-out bra and satin thong that Laetitia Casta modelled? This bra isn't going to support anything substantial, is it?

And why on earth would you want to wear a mini-skirt as underwear? Or was it a belt?

Are we missing the point here, girls, or is it simply that we are looking at it from a slightly more practical angle than the average male.

I guess we all know the answer to that one...
