Out of the Bag

It’s green versus ethical in the Anna Hindmarch "I’m Not a Plastic Bag" controversy. The cotton canvas re-usable bags which went on sale for just £5 at Sainsbury in London, sold 20,000 units, and of course promptly appeared on eBay for more than $400 each. Amidst all the hype, the Evening Standard reported that the bags were made in China using cheap labour. Oh, and they are also not organic, if that's what you are after. Sainsbury and Hindmarch are both denying that they claimed the bags were organic or Fairtrade.
All I know is that when I saw Keira Knightly toting the bag before all the controversy, I knew I had to have it. It's coming to the U.S on June 20 in a limited edition navy blue ( not loving that!). Are you going to stand in line for this bag? Is the new controversy going to affect your decision to buy it?

(which, from what I here, is actually ethically made)
of course i meant "hear"
!
Cannot beleive that anyone would want to carry a bag that is only fit for shopping, I love the BIG bags, they make me look slimmer and I can get everything in. I am also a sucker for designer bags that have an individual look rather than the ones that are forever copied by the chinese and just lose their look. An IT bag always seems to end up being overexposed "seen everywhere". Who would want one? I am a sucker for butter soft Italian leathers, French designers and some of the US designers are amazing ie Bulga, Catherine Kwei, Maya Baroque, I wish I could get easy access to them. Japanese designer Kenji Ikeda is an artist with leather if a tad expensive. Check out my favourites beandd.com bulgausa.com and mememeaccessories.com for a fantastic and stylish collection.
I love anything that helps the environment, but I'm completely opposed to cheap labor. If it's true that this bag was made using cheap labor, and is really NOT organic, then I'm NOT BUYING IT!
