Got Silk?

When it comes to sunscreen, I've probably tried every product out there. Part of being a beauty editor means subjecting my skin to a variety of strange lotions, gels and creams, often with disastrous results. No matter which sunscreen I try, it's always greasy, or simply doesn’t do the job. So pardon my skepticism when we received a sample of Silk Screen ultra light facial sunscreen from Z. Bigatti (SPF 30). Ho hum, another pricey product I’m going to hate. You see where this is going?
I smoothed it on, and seriously it does feel like silk. No greasy residue, it glides on better than the lightest moisturizer, and my skin feels super soft. It contains grape seed, white tea and vitamin c and promises to protect against premature aging and create an even skin tone. There's also "hydrolyzed silk" in the mix, which the company claims has the amazing capacity to hold 10,000 times it's weight in moisture! Which means you don't need to apply additional moisturizer.
A week later, I’m totally sold, which is great because at a whopping $68 (Nordstrom) it's waaaay more than I would normally pay for sunscreen. But then again, can you really put a price on great skin? And this one prevents aging... after all who knows how much botox is going for these days?
How much would you pay for the ultimate sunscreen?

I just started splurging on my skin, but I def think it will be worth it in the long run (as long as those sun-worshipping years don't come back to haunt me).
When it comes to skin products, once I find a product that works, I stick to it. Luckily, the ones that work for me are square in my budget. Dove face lotions are great- I use them every day. As for sunscreen, for me, sunscreen is expensive as it is, so as long as I don't look like an oil slick, I can grin and bear it :P
I'm the same way, I can't really "experiment" with different skin products because I am really sensitive and it costs too much. Neutrogena is cheap and more importantly, it WORKS so I feel absolutely no desire to try something new.
This product sounds like it would definitely purchase. I do not like the sun and avoid it like the plague. However, if this product came in a cheaper version - Neutrogena would be on the bye-bye list.
just a little expensive for my liking...
I'm a Neutrogena girl myself -- I have as of yet to not be 110% satisfied with any of their products, including sunblock -- AND it's affordable!!!
p.s.:
"And this one prevents aging..."
all sunblocks prevent aging -- and the higher the SPF you use, the more prevention you will get (as long as you apply it properly: 1) apply it at LEAST 15 minutes before going outside, 2) don't be skimpy with its application -- make sure you slather it on, and 3) reapply every couple of hours --it starts to lose effectiveness after 2 hours-- or even sooner if sweating a lot).
sounds great
actually, R on, I've heard that over 40 SPF (it may have been 30), it doesn't really matter the SPF number.
