The $42,000 Handbag
How much would you spend on a handbag?
Louis Vuitton has just come out with the most expensive handbag ever - $42,000 to be exact. This literally has me in “stitches” – no pun intended. Fine – pun intended. So get this – it’s made out of recycled patterns (15 different past spring and resort styles to be exact) – hence the name “The Louis Vuitton Tribute Patchwork Bag”.
It’s hideous isn’t it? Well, regardless, it’s limited edition and ugly or not, you can be sure that fashion victims and label whores alike are going to be clamoring for it.
According to the New York Post, the patchwork bag was crafted with a complex pattern to ensure it can’t be faked. Please – it’ll be on the corner of every New York street in fifteen minutes for $20.

Ugly or not (and it is ugly)there is no way in hell that I would spend that much money for a purse! ( and I'am a purse-aholic)Even if I did have the means to do so!
As for the "looks" of the bag, I do think it is unique. But a gal would only carry that a few times, and she would tire of it soon. The price is my BIG problem. I feel spending that for such an item would be unkind and just plain wasteful. I sure would get MUCH MORE PLEASURE of giving to a cause that would do some good, like fighting Cancer or give it out to people in need. That would give me real JOY instead of "toteing" around a pricey bag.

First of all, the bag's p-tag is absolutely Ludacrus!
2ndly .. Any fashion consious (female) individual who did purchase it would most likely either have to continuously wear 1 colour choice with it, ie; BLACK (Wouldn't even recommend all White with it), or probably only use it on 1 or 2 occasions due to not having enough colour choices in their wardrobe to accommodate a bag with such a busy/akward colour pattern.
I mentioned 'any fashion concious female' .. my 2nd guess would be that it would rather be more suited to a transvestite who would probably enjoy being the proud owner of a designer bag that's fit for a circus candidate & moreover gives the impression of a one-off (piece) for the circus! .. As a collage artist, I can appreciate the 3-D effect and concept behind this. To say that it is poorly designed and obscenely overpriced, however, would still be an understatement. Truly, if someone has $42,000 to squander on a handbag, I know of some very worthy charities that would be better served by the cash.
How is this bag any different than a Lamborghini that costs ahlf a mil and can go 240 MPH?
